
Club of the Future: VR Experience




SUMMARY
I lead the design execution and technical development of an immersive VR experience for Sam’s Club’s flagship club renovation. My focus was translating high-level strategy into a functional, user-centric experience that could be navigated by any member, regardless of technical ability. By engineering a custom, gaze-based UI, I removed the friction of traditional VR controllers, ensuring the experience was accessible in a high-traffic retail environment.
THE IMPACT
The project successfully gave members an exciting peek at the completed renovations. By allowing users to visualize the "future state" of the store, we reduced the friction typically associated with large-scale facility changes. This project successfully demonstrated the utility of immersive technology as a strategic communication asset within a legacy retail environment.
