iBeacon POC

SUMMARY
As the Technology Lead of Innovation projects, I headed the development of a series of iBeacon Proofs of Concept (POCs) focused on the evolution of "Proximity-Based Experience." I led the engineering of a multi-tiered event system designed to trigger hyper-contextual mobile interactions based on real-world movement. By exploring the "invisible interface," we prototyped ways for brands to deliver frictionless value throughout the customer journey—from the moment of arrival to product interaction—effectively merging physical and digital retail environments.

THE IMPACT
These POCs served as the foundational R&D for several large-scale deployments, including the BLINK Cincinnati mobile experience. By validating the reliability of micro-location data and proximity triggers, we established a blueprint for how digital ecosystems can react intuitively to human presence, reducing user effort while increasing engagement in physical spaces.
